A 17-year-old Glengarry District High School student died when the car he was driving collided with a tractor-trailer on Highway 401 near Morrisburg Wednesday.
Joshua Seguin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident which occurred at 9:37 a.m.
He was driving eastbound in the westbound lane of the 401 when his passenger vehicle collided with the truck, reports the Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The second tournament of the season for high school junior football will take place Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Glengarry DHS, where the host Gaels will entertain Gananoque and St. Joseph's (Cornwall), beginning at noon.

The girls 'A' tournament will go in Cornwall, also on May 23, at la Citadelle.
'AA' playoffs are scheduled for May 23 (girls) and May 24 (boys) at St. Joseph's.

Last Friday at the Glengarry Sports Palace in Alexandria, members of the OPP, bolstered by teachers Ryan Winter, Glen Campbell, and Kelsey Thomson, took on student hockey players from Glengarry District High School, in an afternoon tilt enjoyed by throngs of students filling the stands.
Guest referees Jacob Peerenboom and John Robinson officiated proceedings, that saw the Badgers prevail in overtime, 7-6. Jason Cholette scored the game-winner for the OPP. Gaels finding the net in the contest were Liam MacDonald (2), Ethan Attridge (2), Kevin Doyle, and Lachlan MacDonald.
