Among all defencemen in the CCHL2, William Simpson (Alexandria Glens) and Pierre-Luc Sabourin (Char-Lan Rebels) are tied for second in points, with 30 each. The category is led by Cameron McLean of the Athens Aeroes, with 48 points.
When it comes to assists, Sabourin and Simpson stand third and fourth, respectively, at 24 and 23. Char-Lan's Evan Huntley is sixth (19).
Neither the Glens nor Rebels has a forward amongst the top 25.
The CCHL2 makeup game for the Alexandria Glens and Char-Lan Rebels that was to be played Jan. 23 in Williamstown has been postponed again, moved to Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m., in Williamstown. This is the contest that was originally scheduled to be played before Christmas but was cancelled due to snow and road conditions.
Last night in Alexandria, the Glens suffered a loss to one of the league's top teams, the Athens Aeros, in the process ending Alexandria's winning streak at six games. Despite the defeat on Saturday night, the Glens have plenty to be optimistic about heading into the new year, and we will have the story in The Glengarry News.
The county hosts a pair of CCHL2 hockey games tonight. In Williamstown, the Rebels will entertain the Perth Blue Wings, while up north in Alexandria, the Glens are booked to tangle with the Embrun Panthers. Both are 8 p.m. starts.

There's a double bill of junior 'B' hockey in the county tonight, with games in both Williamstown and Alexandria.
The southern tilt will see the Char-Lan Rebels host the Whitewater Kings. Up north, the Alexandria Glens will take on the Arnprior Packers. Both are 8 p.m. starts.
